"Impromptu Pathways"
This artwork consists of four individual triangular paintings. An intricate web of painterly overlapping white, linear patterns, intersect and crisscross over softly diffused and layered background colors of muted, blues, grays and olive yellows, with occasional touches of burnt orange and Rose blush reds. The colors are soft and meditative, while the white line work is bold yet layered, giving the viewer glimpses of delicate underlying colors completing the pathways of its rhythmic, meditative journey.
The diagonal divisions come into play as fluid elements of division and connection, redirecting the continuous flow of the painting, creating dynamic tension between unity and fragmentation. The triangles themselves can be oriented in many ways to create a beautiful balance of geometric precision and organic flow.

This original painting features a lively interplay of shapes and colors loosely painted with whimsical details. The broad swaths of cool, calming blues are surrounded by distinctive, soft washes of cream, white, pale yellows and light greens, along with the depth of burnt orange as structure. The black, pink and white lines create motion and rhythm throughout the piece without confining the abstraction.
From my individual vocabulary of mark making there are circular forms and scattered, fragmented organic shapes adding to the painting's complexity and freedom. The diversity of shapes and the interplay of light and color promote a willingness to explore form and color intuitively.

"Daybreak " From the Portal series - SOLD
This original painting is a circular art piece, with a large evenly shaped hole in the center. It is painted on acrylic glass and mounted onto a handmade wooden circular frame. The use of a circular format with a void in the middle is both striking and intriguing. As it changes the painting narrative.
It now becomes sculptural and has different movement. This piece invites the viewer to ponder the relationship between present and absence, between the infinite and the contained in the abstractly represented visual panorama of nature's beauty and a sense of renewal.
The color gradient and simplicity of design creates a soothing rhythm to visually transport. The viewer to a place of emotional, serenity and meditation. Words to describe this piece would include: Tranquility, vastness, calm and introspection.

"How Can I Tell What I've Missed" - SOLD
This original painting showcases an intriguing interplay of colors, shapes and lines that invites the viewer into a vibrant and enigmatic composition. As in all abstract paintings, the artist s" vocabulary" of Marx and Mark making, their use of color, is always in play as their artistic fingerprint reveals. In this painting, dominant hues of red, blue and white are layered and interspersed with softer tones and various textural elements. The rounded and angular forms interact boldly as structure. The subtle lines and other marks add depth and visual complexity. There is a beautiful balance between structure and spontaneity, inviting contemplation and emotional engagement.
The words to describe this painting: Energetic, urban, curiosity.

"Elusive Daydreaming"
This original painting is a part of my "Lace" series. It is an intricate composition of overlapping white loops and swirls, overlaying subtle, colorful, random geometrical forms beneath. The overall composition is dynamic and rhythmic with the white patterns forming a translucent veil that invites the eye to wander beneath and around the layers of the painting. Chaos and order coexist through repetition and variation.
There is a random predictability and calmness. The pallet is a myriad of Pinks, blues, yellows, oranges, creams and whites, soft reds and deeper burgundy purples towards the edges of the painting. This painting skillfully balances the lightness and density of color, and the interlocking forms seem to pulse with a quieter energy, guiding one's eye completely through and into the artwork. There is an unusual ethereal likeness about this piece that makes it extra special.

Size: 46" x 46" x 2 1/4"
"Tapestry"
This is an original painting in the "Lace" series. Using the color palette of the rainbow combined with the repeating "lace" pattern, I've created a beautiful abstract balance between order and spontaneity. Similar in concept to "Elusive Daydreaming", The repeated forms of the lace patterning establish a rhythm to the painting and the fluidity of the paint strokes inject spontaneity and structure.
The color palette is a rainbow of colors, chosen to evoke warmth and light. While the intricate, tapestry-like pattern engages the viewer in a meditative visual experience. The use of transparency and overlapping gives the artwork, movement and dimensionality, drawing the viewer's eye towards the vibrant center where the warmest colors cluster. Words that describe this painting: Serenity, Connection, Unity.

"Bringing The Sky Inside" Arch Series
They are paintings and they are sculpture combined. I call them Arches. Each Arch is an original painting on plexiglass, and then mounted onto the wooden, sculptural arch form.
Each piece features carefully blended gradients of colors that transition seamlessly from one arch to the other with a soft almost ethereal quality.
The subtle interplay of light and shadow is enhanced by the arched sculptural shape. This dimensional curve reminds us of the roundness of our planet Earth, and combined with the verticalness of the painting, evokes sunsets, horizons, storms, oceans, clouds, rain, sun, shifting lights and colors for different times of the day.... All manner of nature's beauty, being visually carried along from arch to arch.
They are made to enrich and to harmonize in any environment, in any number of configurations.
Selection changes frequently.
Price: $850 each
Size: 47" x 3.25" x 4"
(the highest part of the arc).

"Water And Air" Large Arch
This is one of three original large sculptural arches available. The painting is primarily soft gradients of blue and green hues, with delicate abstracted, floral and botanical elements floating gracefully within a tranquil and airy atmosphere. The palette includes blues pale to bold, turquoise, olive greens, muted yellows, light pinks and charcoals.
The sculptural form of this piece is large and formidable and compels attention. It and the painting beautifully capture a mood of peaceful reflection, a feeling of growth and renewal. The marriage of the two disciplines, sculpture and painting , creates artwork with a compelling sense of depth, atmosphere, and calm fluidity.
Price: $2400
Size: 60" x 9" x 6"
Weight: approx 18 lbs.
"Sky View" Large Arch
This is the second in the trio of a larger sculptural arches and continues the idea of painting as sculpture. Lively gradients of bright colors transitioning from deep blues at the edges of the artwork to bright, vibrant yellows in the center.
Abstract shapes and brush strokes in darker shades of blue, green and black punctuate the composition and evoke an architectural rhythm of seeing something from above, a beach, the tops of buildings. The color structure and interplay of light and Shadow bring movement within the space of its vertical proportions. Words to describe this piece: Lively, vibrant, surprising and playful.
Price: $2400
Size: 60" x 9" x 6" (depth of highest point of the arc.)
Weight: approx 18 lbs.
"Stormy Day" Large Arch
This is the third in my series of large sculptural arches. The palette is predominantly cool, with varying shades of blues and muted greens, interspersed with soft, glowing ocher yellows and hints of pale grays. The feeling is wave-like and ethereal and the overall impression is one of Serenity.
Natural light reflected on water, a tranquil sky at dawn or dusk, clouds wafting against an evening sky. This artwork exhibits a beautiful interplay between light and Shadow, of sculpture and brush strokes, to create a delicate journey into waves of gentle rhythm.
Price: $2400
Size: 60" x 9" x 6" (depth at the highest point of the arch)
Weight: approx. 18 lbs.
Large Art Shelf
This unique, sculptural piece is created in the shape of a plinth. The area of the top is 13 in. X 6 in, suitable for placing another piece of art. The shape is 60 in tall and angles backwards towards the wall as it descends, transitioning into a smaller foot. Cool, pale blues, olive greens and grays combine with pale yellows and light blues.
In this decidedly organic piece, the leaf-like shapes, float upward or downward, depending on the viewer's ideas. Visual movement continuing through to darker blues and gestural, concentric lines that connote ripples on water.
The viewer travels up and down this piece, from the top of the suspended leaf shapes to the depths of the smaller pools of water, all while the sculpture and dimensions of the piece change at every level.
Price: $1600
Size: 60" x 9" x 6"
Weight: approx 18 lbs.
Art Shelf
This piece embodies the same concept as the larger art shelf, but smaller. The vertically elongated plinth form and the painting itself combine to evoke a surprising sense of depth and flow.
At the top, rich yellows and oranges feel like a sunset, then moving downward to bright lemony green and shades of blue and purple, suggesting water or Sky, into shades of gray for ground. The transition from warm colors to cool colors, evokes a natural progression of time and a calm meditative quality.

Size: 40" x 5" x 5"
