Looking Ahead: Summer Art Fair Season
The summer art fair has always been close to my heart, and 2024's schedule is shaping up to be particularly exciting. I'm honored to be returning to several favorite venues while also exploring new exhibition spaces. My latest series of curved wood sculptures will be featured prominently, including the new collection "Chromatic Rhythms" that merges architectural elements with organic forms. I'm particularly excited about the new installation pieces that will debut at the July Arts Festival - they represent a bold step forward in scale and complexity.
My studio is currently filled with works in various stages of completion, preparing for the intensive summer season. The new collection includes several large-scale installations designed specifically for outdoor venues, where natural light will interact with the painted surfaces throughout the day. These pieces build upon my signature curved forms while introducing new elements of texture and dimensionality.
The art fair circuit this year will include several new venues that I'm particularly excited about. Each space presents unique opportunities for installation and viewer interaction. I've been developing site-specific pieces that respond to these various environments, including a series of modular works that can be configured differently for each location. The piece featuring ethereal blues and yellows, visible in my current studio setup, represents the direction these adaptable works will take.
